Embarrassing

Alright, alright...I'm finally coming to tell the world about my embarrassing mommy moment. Frankly, had I not put a preface to the story on my last post, I probably would have talked myself out of sharing it because it's...well...embarrassing.

So here goes. Feel free to laugh at my expense. It is pretty funny.

So my Little Miss is the quite the fire ball. She is sure fun, but she can be a real challenge, especially when she throws tantrums. Well, we had been outside playing and having fun but when it was time to come in for dinner, she threw one of her massive tantrums. So I dragged her inside kicking and screaming and then went into the back room to put shoes away.

I then hear from the back the front door open and race out to find my Little Miss gone and Baby Girl escaping as well. (Little Miss can unlock and open our front door and I HATE that she can do this!) So I run to follow and pick Baby Girl up just to see Little Miss booking it down the middle of parking lot of our apartment complex. I go in complete panic mode just praying a car doesn't back out or come racing in and take off in a sprint after her (remember I have Baby Girl still in arms). I reach her just around the building and grab her arm. Those of you that have children and know what tantrums are like know that the moment you touch a tantrum child they go completely limp, dragging their feet, kicking and screaming the whole time. I'm trying to wrestle her up into my arms while trying my hardest to keep Baby Girl balanced on my arm as well. I wrestle with this for a few minutes because Little Miss is STRONG and she's heavy.

So I'm trying to get a good grasp on Little Miss while keeping Baby Girl steady just to see right behind me some random guy watching this scene. I will tell you right now that my biggest pet peeve is when people stop to watch me while I'm struggling with tantrums. I have so many previous incidents of this, but I won't go there right now.

Anyway, as I'm trying to get a good handle on my screaming and kicking daughter...my mmm...my pants fell down. Yep, you read that right. My. Pants. Fell. Down. So now I'm fighting a struggling three year old and holding a baby with my pants around my knees. And remember I have my sweet strange observer directly behind me. And the funny thing was, I was so irritated at the situation, my daughter, and this man, that I didn't even have the energy to feel embarrassed at that time. So I finally, was able to lock Little Miss' head between my knees long enough to pull my pants up and was finally able to drag her back home. Smiling sweetly of course as I passed the peeping Tom. Then I felt embarrassed.

You're laughing huh? It's okay, I take it.
